Summary

Once, this wouldn't have been a problem. Once, Talon wouldn't have gone weak at the knees for bright blue eyes and golden hair. Once, he didn't have a corruption making songs in his viens that influenced his thoughts.
But he wasn't that demon any longer, and the dawn where the Harbingers would come to meet the Sulfur Rail was fast approaching, and on the train he was bound to was a Doctor and a stowaway who's story wasn't finished. Who didn't belong in this world of angels and demons and those inbetween. They belonged somewhere else with a bond of friendship that not even the King of the Sulfur Rail himself could have broken.

Summary
Ezreal is a history major currently writing his final paper on ancient Shuriman artefacts, particularly their mythical weapons and the god warriors that wielded them. Kayn is a student pushed into volunteering extra hours at the university library holding the key to the archive where countless journals on the matter penned by one prolific explorer are kept. However, as the unlikely pair are ‘forced’ to spend time in the same room, each other’s company becomes less of a by-product of their tasks until it’s not just the historical figures they read about that they start getting to know better.

Summary
He isn’t sure for how long or how far he walks, but eventually he reaches the end of the path, notices as it branches out into a wide walkway that leads up to a small home. It’s well maintained, translucent blue smoke rising from the chimney, vines with fat leaves shrouding most of the bricked front save for the door and two windows, curtains drawn. Cerulean hues trace slowly from one side of the clearing to the other as he approaches the house. He observes the plants that seem to move, extending towards him, noxious blooms unfurled and tempting in their colourful patterns; notes the strange looking cat sitting in the window, fur almost a deep blood red; takes stock of the sharp and sudden electric smell of magic in the air, one that almost smells like his own but not quite. It’s shrouded in a smoky scent, causing him to stop as the blade of a scythe falls against the curve of his throat, deadly in proximity to his Adam’s apple.

Ezreal's an archaeologist that hears about an abandoned temple and a witch hidden away in the woods behind it. He expects little, hoping to debunk a wive's tale yet meets Kayn, in turn. The witch that truly does live sequestered away in the forest.

Summary
As far as bad ideas go, Ezreal isn’t sure if this is the best bad idea he ever had or the worst.
The idea on its own is not bad, it’s just that Ezreal’s options are quite limited. Currently, he faces two clear options:
(1.) He can go to his ex’s birthday party and be a mature adult that doesn’t mind showing up single.
Or, (2.) He can ask Kayn to pose as his boyfriend for one night.
One of those options is clearly worse than the other, but Ezreal for sure cannot pinpoint which one exactly is the bad one.
