Stephan sits in the little windowsill in their living room.
It’s the kind that had three big windows and stuck outside of the house.
The cardinal hybrid sits there, watching some bird fly up to the bird feeder they set out, eating the suet he placed there for them, their right knee pulled up to their chest, elbow resting on it, resting their cheek on their right hand, a small smile on their face as they watch a Dark-eyed Junco peck some seeds from the little suet feeder.
Their boyfriend is in the kitchen behind them, humming a tune as he makes something.

"I can feel him like he's breathing down my neck and you're trying to tell me I'm just..not completely insane?"
The ripple of anger in the air at Will's outburst sent a thrill through Mike, and he gulped as he tried to stomach Will's anger, the way his eyebrows drew together and his eyes welled up. Instead of shying away, he remained where he was, unflinching as he prepared himself for what he was about to say.
"I never said you weren't insane," Mike decided, resisting the urge to smile but failing miserably. "I think you're mad. Completely bonkers and insane." He took Will's face in both hands then, holding his eye contact like his life depended on it. "But you're not at all evil like he is. You're just Will Byers who can do badass shit and help us kill this bastard."
After the events of the military base, Mike guards Will at the radio station and tries and fails to keep a nosey Robin Buckley away. A conversation follows when Will finally wakes up.

Summary
Mike had never had an issue with Robin. She was just Robin: Steve’s friend, a quirky girl, hosted the radio, all things that never really affected Mike’s life before that is until very recently. Something happened the night of the crawl, and all of a sudden, Will has been sneaking off with her, giggling with her, and going off with her and leaving Mike all alone. Up until now, Mike had been pretty confident of Will’s lack of interest to do with anything woman-related.
But now? All Will seems to care about is Robin.--
Takes place before Will knows he has powers before Will has powers but after the crawl. Basically Mike has been unknowingly flirting with Will for months but is jealous of Robin and how close they have gotten.
