Wesker had probably wanted to turn her into Tyrant, watch her rip her former friends apart... but the latent vaccines and her prior exposure to some strains more unstable than the base T-Virus led to complications. He'd scrambled to stabilize the situation, and his warped genius had even been successful. In the end she should be thankful, the T-Abyss's regenerative properties were the only reason she'd survived Chris's surgery by pistol. Though the worst of it was, when she thought back she wasn't even sure she was as mad about the unwanted change as what had come before.
At least now she looked like as much of a monster as being Wesker's minion had made her feel...

"My mother was born of sea foam," Silena cut him off. "And if you're really who I think you are... you are the sea. You can pull this off," she said and touched his cheek. "Get the bolt. Survive," she said. Percy swallowed.
"What if I can't act the part?" He asked. Silena's expression went blank for a moment. Slowly, she slipped off her bracelet and placed it in his hands.
"If you're going to be one of us... you better learn."

Kari finds herself mired in Marvelo's plans as she participates in higher and higher stakes races, coming to a head when she is put against Marvelo's other trainee, the current champion Bold Zesty, a girl from the Upper City who had dreamed of her current position her entire life.
It's a desperate game as Kari's racing successes only sink her deeper and deeper under Marvelo's control, and with Bold Zesty unable to understand her plight, Kari has to find the way out herself.

Before finally daring to move as he angled his dark-tinted sunglasses downward to allow his eyes, a rich, sky blue with flecks of various brighter and darker tints of color painted into them to have a look around at these unfamiliar lands.
“Weell– This certainly wasn’t on one of my bingo cards...”
