Summary
I'm sure this has been done before but I am suffering from such chronic writer's block when this idea popped into my head I had to run with it.
It is based on the Saturday Guardian newspaper's 'Blind Dates' feature where two strangers go for a meal together and report back on their findings.
Some of the answers in the fic below are plagiarised from actual 'blind dates'.
No prizes for guessing who The Guardian has thrown together. -

Summary
What does it feel like to be washed up at twenty four? Charlie Spring could tell you, in fact Charlie could write the book… except that’s the problem… he hasn’t written a thing he would voluntarily share with anyone for over two years. All he has to show for his early promise, his 'The Scotsman' award for most promising new play at the Edinburgh Festival, his first class degree from Cambridge and the distinction in his MA in Creative Writing is £45,000 in student debt and a massive case of writer’s block. But just as Charlie thinks his only option is to admit his mother was right, give in, go back to Kent, and train to be an accountant… exactly as she has always said he should…he meets a charming, and mysterious Frenchman.

So there are photos of Kit all over FB dressed in a jacket a tie and jeans, and whereas he is usually so stylish to me it looks like he either got dressed in the dark or his suit trousers were lost in transit. Call me an old fart if you like but it prompted me to write something after two months in the doldrums so thank you Kit (and Happy Birthday)

Summary
In a world where time travel is becoming the norm, (at least, for those who can afford it), what happens when terminally single Charles Spring concludes his soulmate was young in the 1940s. A fic gift for the wonderful CharliesJumperStash as part of the commune 2nd birthday celebrations.
They asked for:
• meet-cute,
• maybe some sci-fi or fantasy elements,
• oblivious soulmates
My apologies for my wretched inability to ever write a ‘one-shot’ in response to these challenges.

Summary
Nick is visiting his father in France, and Charlie is returning to the UK from a friend’s wedding in Marseille. They meet by chance on a train heading to Paris.
As they approach the station, Nick impulsively asks Charlie to get off the train with him and spend the evening with him in Paris.
Charlie, who has felt an instant connection with Nick, agrees.
This is the story about what happens over the course of that one life-altering night, and beyond.
Inspired by the films ‘Before Sunrise’ and ‘Before Sunset.’

Summary
Anonymous on tumblr: do you have a skin that would mimic the author’s notes and review/kudos buttons section from the end of a fic? the desired effect being that the fic could go on after the “end” of the fic, so after the author’s notes and review/kudos buttons
Here's a tutorial/live example to do just that, with some of the buttons actually functioning. I'll explain more inside!
