Summary
I was really unsatisfied with how some events in Arc 9 unfolded, so I decided to use my emotions in a more productive way and write an alternative scene to represent how I would have liked it to go—at least as a proof of concept.
This is really spoilery, of course. If you haven't read up to Arc 9, Chapter 60 of the WN, I would recommend skipping this.

Opening his eyes he groans as he sees two girls standing above him. The younger one is on her knees at his side. She’s blonde with two pig tails and her eyes have irises that look like butterflies. She attempts to shake him awake while the older one is looking down on him with concerned amethyst eyes, her silver hair draping over her shoulder. Her eyes narrowed at him after noticing he had awoken.
“Ah Subaru, are you awake now?” Her silver voice chimes in. The younger one after hearing the half elf’s words looks to him with a worried expression.
“Betty was worried, I suppose. You weren’t waking at first” The younger one says as she stands up.
Or Subaru and his friends have been transported to a theatre force to watch his life, unable to leave till they watch every thing. They will watch arc 5 and onwards
