Summary
“Who the fuck did this?” Jack roared, his voice cracking like a whip through the ER.
Nurses froze. A tech stopped mid-step. Even Dana, fearless on her worst days, halted in her tracks.
Trinity stumbled under Dennis’s weight, panic flooding her features. “Fuck—Dr. Abbot…” she breathed.
Jack didn’t wait.
He closed the distance in two strides and grabbed Dennis, hands sliding to both sides of the kid’s waist, hauling him off Trinity and straight into his chest. Dennis sagged instantly, collapsing against Jack like his bones had given up.
Jack’s jaw clenched so tight the muscle jumped. His eyes were pure, murderous fire.
Or where student doctor Dennis Whitaker loses a 6 year old patients and comes back to the Er bloody and supported by Trinity Santos. His two attendings who have been trying to get the student into their bed for weeks now, dont really take it well.

Summary
All at once he felt the world crashing down again, it was faint, barely there and then it was gone.
“He’s going into vfib,” Abbot shouted and immediately began chest compressions. Dennis took the spot that he had been in closer to Robby’s head and watched intently as they stuck the defibrillator pads on his chest, moving a step back as they yelled clear and shocked him. Nothing. Abbot went back to compressions, “we’re not losing you damnit.” Dennis heard him muttering under his breath.
Dennis agreed but he couldn’t say as much, his throat was too tight. Instead, he prayed. Silently in his head he begged God again, apologizing for it being so long but pleading for him not to take Robby, not now, not ever. He couldn’t lose him, they had only been dating for a few months now but Dennis knew he’d never be able to be with anyone else, he knew he’d never love anyone like he loved Robby.

Summary
Re·ver·ie (noun)
A state of being pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts or dreams;
or a tranquil escape that becomes a dangerous dissociation.Dennis has always known exactly who he is in the ED: capable, warm, and certain of his place within the noise. The department is rhythm and purpose and something close to home.
But when a patient’s attention lingers too long, Dennis discovers that the mind has ways of surviving what the body cannot endure. What returns to the hospital isn’t the same bright resident who left, and the place that once felt steady no longer fits the same way.

Summary
"The absolute last person that he expects to see in the ER room is Tyler Pent - who has to be at least fifty-seven by now - sitting on the hospital bed with the same smarmy smirk he had the last time Dennis saw him, over seven years ago, when Whitaker was only nineteen years old. He freezes completely, like time has stopped entirely. It feels like his stomach drops down to his feet, his heart hammering in his chest as if he were a wild animal caught in a trap; seeing the hunter step closer and closer, already knowing his fate."
Dennis has to treat someone who took advantage of him in the past, Robby is there to support him
