...Then Rhaenyra named them.
"Jacaerys." She touched the baby with dark hair, and her finger moved to the baby who shared her color. "And Aerion."
The dragon twins, people called them.
Favorites of the King. Pride and joy of the Realm's Delight. Beautiful and great as the princes were expected to be.But they forgot – every coin that the Gods tossed for each Targaryen always had two sides.

Summary
When asked in the past by curious sons of what happens when a person dies, Baelor Targaryen sat them down and patiently explained that the Faith of the Seven teaches them that the righteous are blessed in the Seven Heavens as long as they lead a virtuous life and repent for any sin committed. He had never questioned it himself.
Falling to a blow by his brother's mace while defending what was right, even against his own family, Baelor should have been feasting in the Father's golden hall and waiting until the moment he would be reunited with his family. That did not happen.
Instead, the former Prince of Dragonstone woke up far from home and everyone he knew, though the faces he found himself among were not unfamiliar to him. But what does it mean to find yourself in the pages of your family's own history books?

Summary
Aerion was known to be the Monstrous. A Prince to be wary of because of his tendency to be cruel, to be manipulative and destructive all at once.
He was destined to go mad and die, like many other Targaryens… before and after him, alike.
But, if given the chance to try once more, to make different choices and to change the course set by the Gods themselves—
would the Mad Prince take the chance to make it into a blessing—to take it a second chance at life, or would he see it a curse—a punishment and hell, just another thing to destroy carelessly… to run away from?

Summary
Vader had always thought the other half of his soul would be either powerful, uniquely beautiful, or talented in some form other than violence. A complementary match. Instead, his soul mate is a clone. A face mass-produced in a factory to die on the battlefield. Not even considered sentient by the republic they served. A clone was no true match for Vader, but for the little slave boy who grew up belonging to everyone but himself, longing for the stars in a way that hurt. A clone made perfect sense.
Rex always knew he was going to be a disappointment to whatever Nat-born the universe had deemed his other half. He hadn’t hoped for much. He couldn’t afford to. But sometimes at night he would dream of peace and hands not calloused by the hilt of a blaster.
Darth Vader wasn't part of the plan. The man who has slaughtered his brothers and been the cause of unimaginable misery and pain. A kriffing sith was his soul mate, a being who might actually be the living personification of death. It made a twisted kind of sense for a clone raised to kill. He wondered what that said about himself. -

Summary
Jango Fett marries Shmi Skywalker and decides he’d like his step-son back from the Jedi, thanks very much. Obi-Wan Kenobi would much prefer if the notorious bounty hunter could stop stalking his Padawan. Maleena Wendin, of Coruscant’s Children and Family Support Services, just wants this whole mess off her desk.
(Could Mr. Fett please clarify what he means by “the Jedi taking a nine-year-old into an active warzone”? No reasonable adult would – oh. Oh no.)
