She tilted her head, gaze dry. They shared a look. “You sure?”
A pause. A shift in the wind. The warmth of his attention buzzed against her skin, calling to attention their sudden proximity.
He smirked, stepping a little closer, voice lower. “You could make it come out right, if you wanted to.”
A shiver ran through her back. Her eyes narrowed, amused. Dangerous. “Captain, are you flirting?”
“Captain?” he echoed, a little too pleased. “Now you’re just trying to get me worked up.”
He leaned in, bracing a hand casually on the barrel next to her, close enough that she could smell the faint tang of citrus and sea-salt on him.
“I should warn you,” he said, tone dipping, “I’m very responsive to authority play.”

Falling off a slaver's ship in the middle of the New World was a miscalculation. Walking up to the Red-Hair Pirates' ship to chase it was a bad decision.
Ending under his protection after very clearly refusing to ever ally herself with pirates? Well, that was bad for her ego.

Three years after Sabo's boat sank beneath flames and wave Luffy was captured and sold as a slave. After two years he;s managed to escape and thanks to a partically whiskered furry friend, ends up on the Moby Dick while those who care about him are searching the vast oceans to in hopes of returning him home.
Or... Stefan finds recently escaped Luffy and goes "mine" and brings him home... isn't normally the kid bringing the puppy home and begging dad to keep it?

Summary
Gol D. Roger survived the illness that should have killed him, once again triumphing where he had no odds of winning. After Roger achieved his goal, he returned to the love of his life to live out his life with only calm days ahead. His son was born and doted on the boy, soon enough gaining two more sons in the coming years. He approved of their dreams and would not get in the way of them.
But he drew the line at executions.
The Marines better be prepared, because the Pirate King is coming, and he won't rest until his son was safe.
