Colin was pacing the front hall.
It had been over two weeks since he and Penelope had sheltered in the hunting cabin from the blizzard, and just as they had predicted, life had been utterly chaotic ever since. Colin ran his hands over his face as he paced, looking out the window in anticipation from time to time. All the agita of the past weeks (months, including all the time he had borne his love for Penelope in silence) was coming to a head now, and his head was swirling, remembering how this had come to be.///
