When he's not editing a magazine he truly loathes or navigating a rocky relationship he truly doesn't deserve, Bucky Barnes writes a fantasy romance column with an unexpectedly loyal internet following about the barista at his favorite cafe. Barista Boyfriend makes these other worlds bearable, but the real world dreamboat isn’t remotely involved; Steve Rogers is just a muse. Everyone loves the column. And it definitely isn’t killing Bucky very gently in 500 word increments, not in the slightest. What kind of a writer can't keep fact and fiction straight?

“In my defense,” her boyfriend started. “I didn’t know that there was a swirling vat of magical goo beneath the building when I jumped off it.”
Sofia choked on her drink.

Summary
'Merlin?' he began, casting a frown in his manservant's direction. 'Why is your druid name on this shrine?'
'I don't have a druid name. It's just the name the druids call me.' Merlin scowled, no doubt hearing how foolish he sounded. His ears were red – embarrassed, not angry, if Arthur had to guess – and there was a faintly mulish slant to his expression.
'That's nice of them to pray for you,' Gwaine said cheerfully, taking the rock from Arthur's grasp. 'Asking the gods to give you patience to help you deal with the Princess here, no doubt.' He elbowed Arthur in the ribs, grinning as he scowled in response.
When riding out to warn a druid camp of an imminent attack from Uther, Arthur and his knights discover that Merlin is far more than just a sorcerer. Does he have the strength to save one of the Old Gods, or will he perish in the effort?

It starts like this:
Boy meets boy. Or, to be more exact: boy meets Captain America.
Boy decides trolling is absolutely the way to go about his crush. Since, clearly, there’s no pigtails to pull.
