Summary
This is the continuation of my story: The Inner Light - HP Style. The first chapter is a summary of the previous story, so if the tags speak to you, you should be able to read it without too much confusion.
It is an exploration of the aftermath of the war, and how everyone deals with it. The main character is Severus Snape, who survived the war, but there will be chapters about other characters too. I needed some OCs to tell the story I wanted to tell because I didn't want to entirely rewrite canon characters to fit.
I address the changing world, try to find solutions to the most blatant problems the wizarding world has without making it too easy, and fokus on character developement and growth.
Alas, I felt writing a simple slice of life type story was boring as heck, so since I love torturing my characters, there are vicious attacks on Severus Snape, and they have to find out who it is. It turns out, there's more to it than the eye can see, and someone might lead a dark cabal to derail any changes in the wizarding world.

Summary
Snape doesn’t like being frogmarched into teaching Potter Occlumency. He hates that damned brat with his smug face. Is it unfair? Maybe. But he doesn’t care. The boy is the constant reminder of his greatest failure.
So he is full of vitriol when casting the Legilimens. He doesn’t want to see the hundreds of ways this boy is celebrating his status, and with that, the death of his mother. Yet Snape would wish for nothing more than to let the boy see and feel the truth about himself.
Loaded with the power of guilt and self-hatred, twisted by the lies he tells himself, Snape, in an attempt to hurt the boy while doing his unwanted duty, goes too far.
The spell goes wrong and when Snape went to bed that night, he reaps the consequences of his again misguided actions.It’s about time to learn how it really feels to walk in Harry Potter's shoes.
But what then? Who will Snape be, after reliving a lifetime of 15 years as Harry Potter?
This is inspired by the Star Trek episode 'The Inner Light' where Picard lives a whole lifetime in one single moment after being hit with an energy beam. But besides the idea, there are no elements of that episode in this story.

Summary
This is the Dursley's time in hiding. Especially the moment the Dursleys finally find out what exactly Harry and his parents were fighting for.
A scene where Hestia and Dedalus get fed up with Petunia's and Vernon's attitude and set them straight about the Statute of Secrecy, some wizards trying to protect muggles and Voldemort being the leader of a group that wants to make Muggle hunting legal. Vernon and Petunia get it rubbed in what a miracle it is that Harry didn't join the dead eaters after how they have treated him.
envythenight wrote an amazing story about Dudley and what he experienced during the attack of the Dementors. But it stopped when the Dursleys went into hiding.
I highly recommend reading Dark is the Sky first, since this is borrowing a lot from that story, but the story is canon, so you can read this on its own too.
I expressed my wish to read how it would go on, and the wonderful envythenight encouraged me to write it myself. So here it is.
This was planned as a one shot, but I couldn't let it go, it didn't feel finished. But now it does, that's definitely it. -
