Summary
Something about its gaze unnerves Bruce–it’s too still, too dead, too cold– and it speaks to the primitive human part of his brain that says ‘enemy!’. Something inside of him tells Bruce that he should kill it before it’s too late. It’s different. Dangerous.
The child, a boy with trailing bruises along his pale skin and eyes that shine just a bit too green, pauses. His fingers nervously pick at the iron collar around his throat.
Despite his petite frame and defeated posture, he registers as an absolute threat.
“You want to kill me too, don’t you?” He whispers, thin voice resigned and tired, the cadence of a man on death row. He sounds as if he’s exhausted by Bruce’s fear.
“How do you know?” Bruce has to ask, curiosity peaking despite how much the hairs of his arms stand up. .
The boy only shrugs.

Bruce has a bad habit of picking up abominations, but he's learned a long time ago that sometimes the only thing that monsters need to stop being monsters is a little bit of love.

Summary
When Harry finds an injured Snape on his doorstep and must hide him from the Dursleys, he has no idea that this very, very bad day will be the start of something good.
Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story.
Alternate 6th summer (and part of the school year): post-OotP; ignores HBP and DH. No slash, no romance. NOW COMPLETE!

Summary
Hermit’s Hollow was a quiet town where you learned to ignore whisperings of nonsense and the dull, persistent feeling of being watched before you learned to ride a bike. To call it pedestrian would be a great disservice to all the terrible oddities occupying it— folks and legends alike.
Not that Grian believed any of them, of course.
Or; There's something wrong in Hermit's Hollow. There's something wrong with Grian. Neither of these are a surprise to him.

Summary
After a misjudgment with Tim and Damian out of fight-or-flight attacked Tim and the family misjudge him for being violent not knowing that the only reason he did that was out of his fight or flight, and souly out of his body thinking he was in danger.
Or
Damian is the most jumpiest and paranoid person in the world, believing that everyone and his surroundings are a threat, ultimately his fight and flight response made him think he was protecting himself when in reality.
He just hurt the person he considered family.
