Taking a shot at filling my own prompt on avengerkink:
In an AU, instead of taking out Tony's arc-reactor, Obadiah Stane kidnapped Tony, faked his death in a "lab accident", imprisoned him, and forced him to design weapons for Stane.
Bruce is going about his day hacking Stark Industries to learn more about the Hulkbuster weapons when he comes across some discrepancies in the code--subtle things, like inefficient loops in otherwise streamlined code, bizarre variable names, or incorrect comments.
Intrigued, he goes through all the code of SI's weapons industry, comes up with a pattern, and finds the messages Tony has been hiding in the code.
And then he goes and busts Tony out. Lots of badassery, including on Tony's part--he may be defeated, but he's not broken.

"It's surreal to see them walking up the street she's known since she was a baby. Kanna has perked up and she runs ahead even though she has no idea where she's going. Her enthusiasm is helping her nerves. That and the fact that Tohru has an arm looped through hers and it's grounding her, reminding her she's there."
Kobayashi takes Tohru and Kanna to meet her family and it goes (mostly) well.

Beautiful, beautiful, writing.
“Look, let’s not make plans about it, Geralt. I don’t want promises you won’t be able to keep.” Geralt flinches, so subtly that Jaskier only catches it because of the witcher’s hand on him. “I’ve always known who you are. It isn’t as if I kept coming back because I thought you were ever going to be different.”
When Geralt pulls his hand away, it’s all Jaskier can do not to chase after the contact. He’s sort of relieved when there’s conversation to focus on until he actually hears what Geralt is asking, “Then why?”
He can’t say all of it. It wouldn’t be fair here, when Geralt is so clearly remorseful, he’d probably give anything he thought Jaskier wanted. There’d never be any telling what of it was real and he’s seen the cost of that kind complication already. So, Jaskier holds onto his secrets, maybe for now, maybe forever, and gives the most sanitized explanation he knows how to. “No one is everything you want them to be. Sharing your life with other people is mostly just figuring out whose faults you can put up with. Or, at least whose better qualities make up for it. So, I made a choice. Every time.”

The descent is fast, maybe even reckless, but Jaskier’s feeling numb and out-of-sorts anyways, Geralt’s words simmering in his mind, and at the time it doesn’t feel like he’s being pulled on by anything but his own desire to get away."
