Will turns to Chance. That feels like a line straight out a clichè romance movie, when the male lead asks the girl her name at the end of the night,he thinks. Then immedialty trashes the thought, because why the hell is he even comparing Chance to the main charachter of a romantic movie? And himself to the love interest? Will cringes at his own thoughts.

A expression of surprise and recognigion passes Chance's face. Will's seen it tons of times before everytime he introduces himself to new people. He can practically see them connecting the dots in their heads.
November 1983. Missing person flyers all over Hawkins. An empty coffin. Zombie boy. William Byers.
It's unpleasent, because Will's mind is immediatly flooded with memories he does not want to remember.

Max takes his hand over the table and Lucas smiles gently. “Sometimes you may never know if you're truly safe, especially in Hawkins. And I want you to be.” His smile grows a little more embarrassed. “Honestly I'm also… Curious. So, Max and I were talking and... You and I could - only if you are comfortable, that is - we could try to have this first experience… Together.”Where Lucas and Max became a poly relationship so Will can have his first queer experience with someone he trusts and loves.
