In the aftermath of the time travel incident, Perceptor made a resolution to get to know his lab partner better. He didn’t anticipate that he’d grow so fond of Brainstorm in the process. Blindsided by a rare and deadly illness, he realizes that he’s miscalculated the depths of his regard.
Perceptor is determined to study and cure the disease with Brainstorm none the wiser. Unfortunately, feelings have never been his area of expertise.

“What are you doing?”
“Percy! Hi!” Brainstorm’s voice is a note too high, just a hint too desperate, for the attempt at casual he’s clearly trying for. He turns, leaning on the window like he wasn’t just trying to pull it open, and incidentally proving Perceptor’s speculation behind the reasons for all of this correct in the process. “I’m just, uh… testing the, uh…”
He looks around the room like it’ll give him an excuse, but there isn’t one to be found. Hesitantly, Perceptor takes a step toward him, but stops when it makes Brainstorm balk like a trapped animal. “Brainstorm. Tell me why you’re bleeding.”
Brainstorm's latest invention puts him in a rough spot; go to the medics for help and have his recently-lax freedoms restricted for committing science unsupervised in his habsuite, or let Perceptor help him instead, when said help just so happens to require baring his spark.

As Optimus walked, he heard a rustle behind himself and paused. He turned around to see the seeker shrink back behind a tree. His wings stuck out on either side.
Optimus frowned. “What… are you doing?”
The seeker peeped out at him.
“Um, following you,” he mumbled, his wings twitching.After an accident during a skirmish with the seekers, Optimus finds himself stranded in the middle of nowhere with no way of communicating his comrades. Luckily, he has a companion.
Unluckily, it's the impertinent teleporter.

Summary
The Lost Light gets decommissioned and Whirl is left in the same situation he found himself before the quest began: homeless, jobless, friendless, with no support structure and no desire to acclimate to a post-war Cybertron that doesn't particularly want him there in the first place. Its not much of a surprise when he reacts the same way he did the first time.
Brainstorm has had suicidal friends before and he's kind of miffed that he's the only one who seems to notice the obvious, but apparently no one else is planning on stepping up to the plate, so the job of doing something about it falls to him yet again.

Wheeljack opens Brainstorms confiscated briefcase, thinking it's an old experiment of his own. Instead, he gets tossed back in time, right before Starscream is placed on a very public trial for the murder of his scientific exploration partner, Skyfire.
His past self sympathized but stayed out of it. That Wheeljack was on the fast track to becoming one of Sentinel’s top scientists, closely watched, and quietly warned that a single misstep could jeopardize his future.
The Wheeljack that spent the majority of his life as the Autobot's chief of engineering, and knows Starscream’s sentencing plays a huge part in igniting the war?

The ship wasn’t supposed to fire on them. There weren’t supposed to be zombies. And, most critically, Starscream wasn’t supposed to be a stupid aft and get bit by one of them.

In Starscream’s honest (and very humble) opinion, this was one of the worst days of his life.
And that’s against some very steep competition, you know! Millennia upon millennia of having the worst luck known to Cybertron and beyond really lends itself to a never-ending stream of horrible events that all culminate into an ever-present world-weariness and severe paranoia, all channeled into one (unfortunately small) seeker.
Today in particular, though, seemed to deviate from his usual pattern of bad luck, in the form of an irate Autobot.
