    Izuku glanced up, confused. A café? It didn't look like any kind of training facility. It was cozy, dimly lit, and seemed popular, with a small line trailing out the door. The sign, illuminated by a warm, yellow bulb, said:

    Open Mic Nights: The Vocal Cord.

    “Huh?” Izuku whispered to himself, the single word escaping his lips in a tiny, incredulous puff of air. The glow of the sign seemed to mock the anxiety currently seizing his chest. An open mic night?

    “That’s the beauty of it, Midoriya! We are working on your poem!” Mic explained, effortlessly navigating them through the small crowd toward a stand near the makeshift stage. “You gotta get the rhythm down! A poem is just words until it's delivered! You need a live audience, even a small one, to feel that passion we talked about! I told you, you’re afraid to speak from personal experience, so we're going to put you in a place where all you can do is speak from experience—the experience of sheer panic! It’s immersion therapy, listener, Plus Ultra style!”
