Summary
“You’re soft,” George says. He sounds almost angry about this, and if it was anyone else Dream would've bared his teeth at the tone alone. But it’s George, and the notion that he may be angry with him just makes him sort of sad (really sad, when he’s a wolf) so he just whines.
George looks startled, like he wasn’t expecting Dream to react in any way. “Oh, no. You’re okay, shh.”
It does calm him down. Like this, his senses may be better, but his brain is all sort of turned off, logical thinking gone out of the window.

In the beginning, there was nothing.
Nothing but light and dark, green and blue, swirling in the middle of a vast swath of darkness.
Then, there were trees. Rivers and oceans. Mountains and valleys. Two people - one light, one dark - to explore this world and make it their own.
Slowly those two were joined by more. Some good, some bad, the numbers growing rapidly until one day the gods' perfect world descended into a chaos they could no longer control.
The first two people the gods created had been the ones to suffer most - and the ones most deserving of a second chance.
If only that second chance didn't require a complete reset - of everything.

Summary
In sixteen ninety-one Salem, George is a witch doing what it takes to survive after fleeing London. Helping Dream leads to a friendship that blends into something more as George does his best to keep them both afloat while the new threat of the Salem witch trials looms over both of their heads.
In twenty twenty-four Salem, George has reincarnated into a better, safer life. He runs a downtown witch shop named ‘True Witch’ with his close friend Sapnap and loves every second of it, but something is still missing. After reuniting with a Dream who has no memories of their past life together, George has to find a way to push himself back into Dream’s life without losing everything a second time.
Or, George is a witch in both lives, and a good one at that.

can i teach u to skate on sunday, Dream sends him a Snap that night after he gets home from work. It’s a close up of the hole on the thigh of the sweatpants he refuses to throw away, the tip of his pinkie barely poking through the opening.
isn’t the rink closed?? George sends an image of the glass of apple juice on his desk, foggy with condensation.
yeah lol. A rare and valuable picture of Patches, delicately drinking from her fountain.
don’t get us arrested. George offers a photo of himself with a Minion filter over top, goggles placed over his eyes and blue overalls covering his worn out shirt.
High school sucks, especially after a bad haircut. Dream's whole hockey team mourns the death of his hair, and what starts as good-natured jokes spirals into something closer to bullying. After Dream has a breakdown, George steps in.

Unlucky for George, it’s not just friendship that ensues.

In our world, there are many myths and legends and stories. Our modern society thrives on stories, silly things to believe in like the Tooth Fairy or ghosts. It gives children magic in their lives, and adults a reason to keep imagining.
In their world, nothing is imaginary. Fae pass humans on the streets, disguised to blend in. Vampires hide their fangs and wear baseball caps. Unicorns are well hidden in the most untouched parts of the world, deep in forests or camouflaged among sand dunes. Mermaids fled to the Marianas Trench to keep themselves safe. And werewolves don’t howl at the moon, don’t turn into rageful, oversized dogs that walk on two legs and hold half-naked women like in art.

Summary
Both George and Death stare at the scale for a long moment.
“So, is this when I go to hell or whatever?” George crosses his arms, “Is it as warm as they say? I like a balmy twenty-five degrees, if possible; do they take requests in hell, or is it more the brimstone and pitchforks variety?”
Death’s shoulders roll back at his snide commentary. The hood has obscured the face of the end of his life from George for their entire acquaintanceship, and now one of those gloved hands reaches up abruptly and shoves the hood back.
George jolts back, mouth falling open, as hazel-green eyes glare at him. Death is strawberry blond and has curls for days, thick brows and a strong jaw. At least the grim reaper is cute.
“I thought you said this would be easy,” Death snaps at him, in a voice totally different from the softness of before.

George lives a shitty life and dies a shitty death, not that he minds dying too much. And then he a) meets Death, b) gets bitched out for not living well enough, somehow, c) gets brought back to life, and d) is forced to deal with a new roommate who wants him to do good deeds and live a fulfilling life for reasons George doesn't quite get.

Can Dream unravel the mystery of George's murder and reconcile the distance that he put between him and Sapnap? He never had an interest in the ghosts he could see before, so why is George so different?
A story about friendship, tragedy, magic, and love. Also, angst.

George was convinced he had the perfect partner. Dream was caring, considerate, and soft. He cooked for George, did the laundry, and tucked him into bed on bad days. He was a very generous lover, and had never laid a hand on him. Dream never even got angry with George, and if he was angry, he never took it out on his husband.
There was just one tiny thing wrong … Dream liked to kill people.
A lot.
George was convinced he had the perfect partner, but he supposed being a serial killer was an acceptable flaw in the face of Dream’s perfectness.
