If they had the chance to do it all over again... Gods would hate it, but it'd be amazing. Like being her except with the drunkenness and depression split between two people. It was a terrible idea, but at worse she could just wait a few more years, so why not?
Alternatively: The Intercessor hijacks the Riddle-Maker's spell and sends Catherine and Akua back to where it all started between them.
