“Dazai Osamu, I thought we made our request clear, you had to choose one or the other, or they both die,” the man purred, reminding him of why he was here in the first place. Yes, that had been the message he’d gotten, early that morning. That they were gone, and that only one of them could make it out alive. His partner or his mentee. They told him to choose, to get his answer in by midnight. His answer was fuck no. He was saving both of them, and if the whole world had to burn down for him to do so, then so be it.
“Leave now, or we kill the executive,” the man's voice turned sour, his eyes narrowing through the grin still disgustingly plastered across his face, twisting his cheeks in a grotesque manner. He wanted to rip that grin right off of his face.

.Somebody kidnaps Atsushi and Chuuya, Dazai will do absolutely anything to get them both back, even if it means going back to the world of darkness he'd tried so hard to leave.
