His works in his lifetime were vast, but trivial. You will take those works, and you will create something wonderful with them. You will make people believe in the magical world again.”
All at once, Jayce sat up straight again. “How?”
Unlike the last time they had spoken, the lady moved herself across the surface of the lake, her dress dragging and sending out an untold number of ripples, until she was right above Jayce, looking down on her with a knowing smile.
“You already have everything you need.”

“…I’ve never made one,” Viktor said aloud then, almost as an afterthought.
Jayce blinked. He looked up fully, caught off guard. “What?”
“I’ve never made one,” Viktor repeated. “A fort,” he clarified a second later. “Blanket or otherwise.”
“There were…other priorities.” Viktor’s gaze wandered around the dim, lifeless interior of the lab as he continued. “We didn’t have many blankets to spare. And then I grew up. Too quickly, maybe.” Viktor turned to Jayce fully then, and for the first time since he’d spoken, met his eyes. “I always thought it was a lovely idea, though.” His voice dropped, quiet but sure as he held his gaze. “You could make one now, if you wanted.”

When a winter storm blows through Piltover, the founders of Hextech are stuck in their lab, unable to focus on work. One aches from the cold, the other trying to keep the chill at bay. A much needed break turns into a soft conversation, and the conversation finds itself wandering through what should have been simpler times in a heartless world. But at least, for once, the world can't find them here. Just for today.
