Clark ran his blunt nails up the back of Bruce's cowl. The same gesture in a different context would have buried his fingers in Bruce's hair; in this one, Bruce had to infer where Clark was touching him from the sound it made.
It sent a shiver through Bruce anyway. Every inch of his covered skin asserted itself in his awareness, all of the places that Clark could not currently reach.

For an instant he froze, breathing with the quickness and terror of a captured bird; then he lunged for the glasses that lay on his nightstand. Bruce swatted them onto the floor.Clark gave a surprised breath of laughter in his ear. Bruce had left Clark in the Batmobile a few houses down, but of course he could see everything. "God, you're like a mean cat."

The drama is unreal in just the right way. Anthy possessive, Utena aimless, and Wakaba envious, without either the magic of the series disappearing into mundanity or those problems externalizing out into a battle like they're still kids.
