Summary
Tormo had grinned when Din demanded to know where the kid was. Win fifty fights, Tormo told him, and they’d return the child to him and let them both go. Din knew that Tormo had no intention to keep his word, that the Brood leader didn’t expect him to last fifty fights, and that even if (when) he did, Tormo certainly wasn’t going to let him go or return the child.
But that false promise was all Din had.
Din has been captured and forced to fight in a gladiator arena with little hope of ever seeing the child again...until the Jedi he’s been quested to find stumbles into the arena with him. Can they team up to escape and save the child?
Basically some Angry Dad Rampaging with a side of Jedi. Lots of Jedi: Fallen Order references, but no knowledge of the game required.

Summary
The Razor Crest is hardly child-proofed even now, with all of her sharp corners and faulty wires sticking out of walls. But there’s something else mapped over the top of that now, making it softer. And yes, Din is aware that the same thing that happened with the Crest has happened with him. His rough edges are blunted, when he’s with the kid, and sharper when the little one is threatened.
He’s aware, and he wouldn’t change a thing.
Din and Grogu track down a Mandalorian trail that turns out to be far more trouble than it's worth.

As they finally crest the hill, as was inevitable, Grogu trips — he falls backwards, arms flapping in concern, and lands on his bottom on a natural cushion of flattened grass.
Din, a few paces behind, stops and lets out a fond chuckle.
Din’s good humour fades a few moments later when Grogu doesn’t get up — he just shifts slightly, settles on the grass, his large eyes focused on the sky.
“You okay, kid?” Din asks.
(Grogu teaches Din how to stop and look up.)
