But when Ilya felt Shane rest his head, Ilya knew it was okay to move. So he snaked his arms around Shane's waist to pull him closer, a soft kiss to the top of the brunette's shoulder before turning slightly to kiss the top of his ear.

Shane Hollander was an incredible hockey player. His shot accuracy was legendary. He was a fantastic strategist and play caller. He, despite Ilya's insistence otherwise, was one of the fastest on the ice. Still, none of that was what made Shane great.
What made him great was how he cared. Shane would do anything for his team - including get his hands a little dirty.
