Summary
“There were… debt collectors,” Chay turns his face so at least he doesn’t have to see Kim’s. “I wanted to help my family. What wouldn’t you do to help your family?”
Kim inhales sharply and Chay tenses, prepared to be pushed away. He's desperately hoping Kim will understand. Kim too has done unspeakable things in the name of family.
From there the whole story tumbles out.
Sometimes when they’re having sex, Chay panics. Other times, his mind just drifts away.
Kim feels like it’s a bad sign when he has to be the emotionally aware one in their relationship. Especially when Chay is reluctant admit there's a problem in the first place.
