Now that he had killed the person Arthur loved the most, he had no doubt that Emrys should have been someone other than him. The only good thing about him was his magic, but, unfortunately for everyone, it seemed he never made the right choices when it came to using it: the more he tried to fix a situation, the worse it became…
He needed to put an end to all of this and manage to put his magic at Arthur's service while ensuring he was no longer the intermediary between the two. He had found a spell to do exactly that. It was probably a completely insane plan and certainly very dangerous, but… Merlin couldn’t help but wonder if this wasn’t ultimately what the prophecy wanted. After all, it had just been said that he would protect Arthur with his magic and allow him to fulfill his destiny, right?
