“See, it’s an orange,” Patty was saying, shoving it proudly into the kid’s face. “It’s round and starts with an O sound, so when you see a circle on a piece of paper-”
“I know how to read!” The brat interrupted indignantly. His face was beet-red—the orange wasn’t the first comparison the cooks made—and he snatched the fruit from Patty’s hands, storming off to prepare the dessert he needed it for.
With every letter and the following assurances of his literacy, which grew higher in pitch each time, Zeff couldn’t help but be certain that the boy was simply too proud to admit his lack of skill.
Or: There's a bit of a misunderstanding going on in the early days of Baratie. But then again, who could blame Zeff for assuming this random kid couldn't read?

Summary
Sanji never wants them to find out, but the further they travel, it becomes increasingly more difficult to keep it a secret. He knows that none of his crew, not even Nami, has enough interest in the world's royal families to figure it out on their own, but that doesn’t mean they will never meet anyone that won't recognize his weird first name and the certain way his eyebrows curl.
or, where Sanji is far more recognisable as a former prince of Germa than he would've liked and tries to keep it a secret from his crew, despite knowing that his lying can't last forever.

Summary
Chopper's Monster Point sure had it's moments of glory in the recent adventures of the straw hat pirates, but scaring his crewmates to death certainly wasn't part of the agreement.
