Summary
This is the canonical storyline if Fukuzawa accepted Fukuchi's plea to join the war efforts. The war drags on as he doesn't assassinate the leaders to end it. He never meets Ranpo, and the Armed Detective Agency was never founded. Ranpo ends up working with Oda when he realized he can't be left alone due to attempts at his life. They end up joining the port mafia where they quickly rise in ranks.

Instead of attending college, Poe was drafted into the war effort at 18, where he quickly got promoted due to his intellect. When he finally escapes from it, he joins the Guild. Hardened by the war, he plots to take over the Guild. Being their most intelligent member and having gained leadership experience, he rose to the top. Gaining the fear and respect of the members. But the girl who spoke them was looking his way, shooting him that same lopsided smile she tossed at the lead guitarist, and Zanka studied Rudo’s reactions with a hope in his eyes he hadn’t noticed before.
They were looking at him like Riyo’s offer was real, like Zanka’s dreams had a goal. Like Rudo might have a place to belong.
"You don't have to," Riyo said, casually. She was far too mellow like this: hand across the strings of her bass, gaze dim in the garage she called home. "All our songs are trash, but we could really use a drummer."
