She locks onto him with an unfamiliar hunger guiding her, and in the haze moments before she speaks, he swears he can hear the thrum of both their pulses beating together.

There was a photograph within it, a person eerily similar to her. Same hair length. Same facial features. Same smile.
There were engravings on the back of the artifact, dating back to five hundred years ago.
