Summary
“You know, I didn’t think you were interested anymore. In me,” she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, not meeting Yolanda’s eyes. Her earlier teasing smirk was replaced by biting her bottom lip in a way that was clearly due to nerves, not a seduction tactic, though it still worked as one.
“Why else do you think I’ve been letting you do all of those chest tubes?” Yolanda couldn't quite get her tone to be teasing.
Trinity’s eyes widened, “How was I supposed to know that that was some sort of courting gesture?” And then she started to smile, “Although, I guess coming from you…”
Yolanda rolled her eyes but she couldn’t help smiling as she said, “Shut up.”
“So you’re interested,” Trinity said, eyes darkening as she stepped even closer. “And I’m interested. Do you think anyone will notice if we ditch this party?”
Yolanda and Trinity work things out at the holiday staff party. And after the staff party.

Summary
The only thing that had kept Trinity pushing through the inevitable slump that comes at the end of every shift was the knowledge that in an hour or so she would get to go home, shower, and watch The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives with Whitaker, as had been their routine for the last few weeks since he moved in.
They fit into each other’s lives almost seamlessly. When they argued it was never serious, they quickly learned each other’s tells and ticks without having to say anything out loud, they watched shitty tv and gossiped together, he cooked for her and she packed their lunches–it had quickly become nauseatingly domestic.
Which is to say, whenever they were together they were practically joined at the hip.
So it was incredibly odd that when it was finally time to go home, Whitaker was nowhere to be seen.

Trinity has a rare allergic disorder. Dennis needs a place to live. She may have forgotten to tell him that these things mean that he’ll be running an ER every other Tuesday in their living room, though.
