Five minutes later, he sits back on his bed, pillow clutched triumphantly in his hands. Patrick is splayed out across his own bed, breathing hard with his hair curling out in five different directions. Jonny smugly clicks the television off with the remote, and then tosses the pillow next to him so he can climb under the sheets. Patrick sits up after a minute, tucks his hand under his chin and abruptly swipes his hand out into a point, straight at Jonny, with a glare.
Jonny blinks, and then Patrick translates. It figures the first thing Jonny’d learn in sign language is 'fuck you'.

Marc wasn't an idiot.
He may not be the most in tune person with his body but he wasn’t born yesterday. He knew what was happening and it was not the time for his body to betray him. He didn’t spend the last several years suppressing every single one of his instincts and pumping himself with borderline illegal suppressants for them to not work anymore.
Now wasn’t the time to be in heat.
Especially during the Misano Grand Prix.OR : Marc has been kicked out of the paddock pack for the last 10 years, taking suppressants that are supposed to basically make him a Beta. But to his horror, they fail right during a Grand Prix week end in the worst place they could.

Summary
Oscar was an alpha, everyone treated him like one at least. “too stoic to be a beta” that was a narrative he’d gotten used to seeing online. “Too broad and quiet to be an omega” okay that one hurt a bit more but it wasn’t the worst thing ever said about him. Now years into the sport and with no one bothering to question him on his second gender, Oscar never felt the need to correct anyone. If they thought he was an alpha then that’s who he would be. It works well, until it doesn’t.
