Summary
Life proving to be nothing but a string of disappointments, Las Vegas showgirl, Steph (aka Miss Calculations), hopes that her luck is about to change when her infamous boss, Robert Edwin House, requests a private meeting with her.
When the businessman proves to be just as calculating, cold and eccentric as the rumors floating around him suggest, Steph's hopes are quickly dashed until the man offers her a potentially lucrative proposition: infiltrate Vault-Tec, as his personal spy, and she can basically have anything she wants...within reason.
Even as the role requires she essentially sell herself, Stephanie accepts, a large complication arising when she discovers that the one thing she truly does desire is Robert House himself.
A truly unreasonable demand.
For this isn't a fairy tale, with war looming on the horizon, and Mr. House determined to save the only thing he does truly love: Vegas. Stephanie soon finds her need for survival and acceptance conflicting with the needs of her heart.

After an incidence with the Gur, Astarion is stuck in the form of a bat. He seeks refuge in a bat sanctuary, hoping to hide amongst the other creatures of the night whilst trying to nurse his broken wing and wait for his powers to return… only to be rescued by a gnome of all things.
He is not some sort of exotic pet, dammit… but he can’t deny that he enjoys being pampered back to health.

The letter arrived in the early afternoon, folded and sealed with the crest of the Survey Corps. It was handed off by a runner, his face still red from exertion, and placed delicately on Captain Alma Osborne’s desk like an unexploded bomb. Alma glanced at it once, decided she didn’t care for its smug posture, and went back to cleaning her knuckles. The sharp stinging of the antiseptic she dabbed on her hands was a familiar sensation, one that barely registered anymore.
The letter, however, had a more insistent presence.
“You gonna open it, or should I start praying for your soul now?” said Deke, her second-in-command, as he leaned against the doorframe. He had the lazy grin of a man who didn’t know when to leave well enough alone.
“It’s a letter,” Alma replied without looking up. “Not a death sentence.”
“From the Commander of the Survey Corps. I can tell by the fancy wax colour.” Deke whistled. “Must be in deep shit, old girl.”
She chuckled, chucking her rag aside, “Still breathing, aren’t I?”Series

There will be no use of y/n or any other variations.

This is my attempt at doing Weskertine justice, and fulfilling my ideal of workplace romance between Jill and Wesker between 1996 and 1998 in S.T.A.R.S. I'm trying to make this as cannon as possible, and forgive me if there are any mistakes. Constructive criticism is always welcome! <3
The story name is inspired some of the lyrics in song 'The Chauffeur' by Duran Duran!

Her probationary period finds her studying under the watchful gaze of Captain Albert Wesker and the encounter will have lasting effects for the city and for her soul. Prior to the events of the Spencer Mansion, the small mid-western town is plagued by murders that is theirs to solve.
This is a detective mystery/romance AU that will see Albert Wesker as just a man that leads a team of elite police operatives. While I will still have the Umbrella plot in the background, I'd like the explore what a complex man like Wesker looks like along the rest of his squad.
