Summary
She stiffened as it turned its wrist to look at her, blinking as its face came into view. She was surprised to see a pale, horned mask. Aside from the crudely-wrapped bandages covering one of its eyes, the shape of its horns and the abysmal state its cloak was in, the resemblance to the spider was quite striking.
In which the Dung Defender and the Hollow Knight travel to Pharloom in search of Hallownest's missing sentinel and get wrapped up in much more than they initially anticipated.

Summary
Sometimes, you wonder if this was worth it. If any of this was worth it.
Traveling back in time… it was a risky thing to do. At the moment, it’d seemed like the only way, and maybe it still is.
But the three swords on your back certainly aren’t helping anything, and at one point you have to stop and wonder when everything started to feel so... numb.
AKA I wanted more Player angst so I smacked my hands on my keyboard and produced some sort of slow, hurt/comfort sickfic with copious amounts of suffering
