With both of their respective bosses gone, the crews of Bigtop Burger and Zomburger have to decide how to deal with the aftermath.
And as for Cesare, retirement is... not was he had been expecting. As it turns out, going on indefinite vacation is boring. ...But maybe some boredom is exactly what he needed to admit that maybe, just possibly, he misses Zomburger. Just a little bit.
Making his way back and trying to get the food truck back together is probably a waste of effort. His crew has probably already moved on. But... he has to try.

Summary
Allen doesn’t know who Cesare is, and he wants to.
So far he has established Cesare hates silence, has an assortment of juxtaposing qualities, and might have some secret vendetta with some supernatural forces. He promptly forces himself into bits of his employer’s life to figure out this enigma, and it all begins to fall apart at the seams.

Summary
Jayce's world shattered after the attack on the council room left his partner's body broken and mutilated. He did all he could think of in the moment to revive Viktor with their experimental anomaly, and failed. Viktor died and was buried with the anomaly attached and Jayce was put on house arrest for his attempt of necromancy while Piltover is thrust into lock-down until the attacker is caught.
Some time later Jayce has snuck into his old lab, left abandoned during the lock-down, to try once more to bring back his partner using an old, half remembered ritual of his youth.

Bright colour swirled through Viktor's eyes for a second. One corner of his mouth twitched upward, almost a smile but not quite.
"It is hard to explain," Viktor answered, also not for the first time. Jayce told himself he'd keep trying, but for now, something else mattered to him more.
"Come see me," he implored. "Just for a little while. I mean. If you can."
Viktor considered for a moment. He brushed something — not quite a thumb, not quite cold metal, but something other — over Jayce's leg.

Summary
The first thing Jayce sees is the smoke. It chokes him, clogging his airways and clouding his vision. His ears are ringing.
The second thing Jayce sees is Mel, thankfully unharmed in his arms. She’s stunned, moving slowly, but she looks fine. They meet eyes briefly, hers brimming with tears.
His eyes scan the room, completely collapsed in on itself, crawling with enforcers and the injured councilors. Several lay unmoving beneath rubble.
He sees Councilor Kiramman, unmoving in a puddle of red. He releases Mel, his only thought making him crawl towards her prone body. He shakes her, once, twice, to no avail. She’s gone. He almost pauses to grieve when he notices that there is another unmoving body, glowing faintly purple, beyond hers.

It is the staggering melancholy of this recounting that has left an indelible echo in my heart, one I do not wish to fade away with its owner, but that I nonetheless sense the need to exorcise. This is how the transcription in your hands was born.
So, take this tale as you wish. As a true recounting of the demise of a promising scientist, or as the musings of a madman, or as an exemplary study of what ambition and frustration can lead a gifted mind to.
Some might read it as a warning against challenging the men and women destiny and greed have unjustly put above us. Others might instead view it as the very opposite of that, a testimony of defiance in the face of a world that imposes its claws on our souls from the very moment we are born.
