Summary
Written for Whumptober Day 28: It's Not Just In Your Head
Prompt: PanicComfortable clothes on and steaming bowl in hand, Dick plopped himself on his couch and pulled up Netflix. He didn't feel in the mood for any of his usuals, so he just clicked on something random.
That was his mistake.

Good brother jason talks dick out of Flashback and comforts him
Then later offscreen kills Catalina
.
"If you hadn't moved, she would have shot. If you moved by accident, or if she pulled you off, she would have shot. It doesn't matter what you did, because no matter what, she would have shot. And that means his death is not on you, it's on her."Dick blinked a few times, unable to really understand. Everyone had told him that much, but he didn't believe it. In part, it was because she had told him that much, and he didn't want to -- couldn't -- believe anything she had said.
.
"And I swear, Dick, she will never hurt you or anyone else again."Jason's voice was warm and hard like lead. Dick thought, for a second, that he was standing between two ugly realities and being told to stand aside. But then he realized that Jason had stepped in front.
No matter what you did, she would have shot.
And so would I.
Jason was the Red Hood. And the Red Hood was an avenging angel. He'd chosen, long before Dick, to kill the monsters.
So Dick leaned into his brother's embrace, and believed him when he promised safe and when he promised never again.
And maybe even when he promised It's going to be ok.

Summary
"You're here," Dick pointed out, tiredly smiling at his Robin.
Damian clicked his tongue, some of his usual liveliness returning as he rolled his eyes. "We are partners, of course I am."
Dick grinned wider. "Of course you are," He echoed.
A shadow of a smile tugged at Damian's lips.
"When you have recovered we should-"
And then Dick's back split open.
In which Dick grows some wings, Clark delivers some well-earned pie, and the Dynamic Duo 2.0 talk about everything and nothing.

"...By the looks of your pinfeathers, you will have black feathers," Damian stated, changing the subject suddenly enough to give him whiplash. "However your entire plumage may include other colors.""Black?" Dick hummed, taking the new topic in stride. "Like yours?"
"Like mine," Damian confirmed, twisting his mouth to hide a smile.
Dick smiled confusedly. "Are you excited for us to match or...?"
"We share very little visual similarities," Damian mumbled, eyes finding the floor. "It will be interesting to resemble you."
Dick grinned more surely, heart warm. "You already resemble me a bit too much, I think."
Damian rolled his eyes as he put away the little tub of Palm Oil. "I'm aware of my similar temperament to your younger self."
"I'm talking about now, kid," Dick corrected. "You're turning into a mini-me."
"...What are you talking about?" Damian asked, half-accusatory. "We act nothing like each other."
"Really?" Dick challenged, raising a brow. "Go look in the mirror and smile."
Damian gave him one long skeptical look of supreme doubt and more than little annoyance... before turning his back to him and pulling out his phone.
A couple seconds passed and then a flash as his phone camera went off.
"...I don't see the point of this exercise. This proves nothing."
"Smile for real, Dames. Think about something nice if it helps."
"...Hrm."
Thirty seconds of silence and then the flash went off again.
...Damian didn't say anything.
"Looks more like mine now, doesn't it?"
Damian peered back at him, glaring from behind his wing.
"What did you do to my smile?" He accused. "How?"
"Can I see the photo?" Dick asked before explaining, holding out a hand.
Damian looked supremely annoyed as he slapped the phone into his hand. Dick looked at the picture.
Damian's smile was exactly as he knew it'd be: a little curling of the lip on either side, a flash of teeth peeking through that made him look eternally mischievous. It wasn't the smile he'd come to Gotham with, that was a slight, smug thing.
This was Dick's smile. The resemblance between them.
"You start to act like those who you're around," Dick finally explained. "You're around me all the time, so you've picked up my way of smiling."
"So you infected me?" Damian concluded.
"Yep, I infected you. Congrats, kid. You’re turning into me.”
Damian hummed thoughtfully. “Like father, like son, I suppose.”
