Summary
Grian is still for a moment before she groans and turns to lie on her back. Joel stares at her with heaving breaths, face distorted in a furious grimace, and Grian stares back, pain and shock written across her features, but not surprise. Never surprise.
“One of those days then?” she bites out through gritted teeth.
Joel doesn’t grace her with an answer as he strides across the cramped space and over to her in two steps and digs the toe of his boot into one of the gaping wounds left behind by his bullets.
Grian screams. Joel’s rage roars and purrs with satisfaction.
“Is that-” Grian groans, “Is that really necessary?”
“No,” Joel says, and digs his shoe deeper.

Joel is angry. Grian is a prick. What else is new?
This is part of an incredibly self indulgent Hermitcraft/Mechanisms AU. Nonetheless this can be read as a standalone even without any background knowledge.

There’s a knock at the door. And at his muttered response, it opens to reveal Felps.
“Hey, is everything okay?” Felps asks. “You haven’t been out in a while.”
It’s not like this is the first time they’ve been away from each other like this. But Pac hates it. It’s so disorientating to adjust to at first.
Stubbornly, he curls tighter around Mike’s pillow.
“I’m fine.”

Summary
The dirt isn’t comfortable, but it’s safe. That’s what Pac repeats to himself as bits of rock, and roots stick into him.
They’ll have to get moving soon, but there’s a team nearby, and they don’t want to risk it yet. So, uncomfortably hidden in the dirt they stay.
At least Bad is there to block some of it. He’s curled around Pac so they can try to take up as little room as possible. And Pac always knew he was tall, but it’s never been more at the forefront of Pac’s mind than right now, with them pressed up tightly against each other.

“Gatinho?”
He looks up at Roier crouched in front of him. There’s a soft, but somewhat confused, smile on his face.
“Hi, Guapito.”
“You don’t want to cuddle with me?” Roier says with a pout.
Cellbit feels a jolt of anxiety shoot through him as he tries to figure out how he can protect both of them at the same time. Distantly, he knew Roier would be sleeping next to him, but he hadn’t taken the time to think about it logically.
“It’s fine, it’s fine.” Roier says, a laugh in his voice as he sets his makeshift bed up next to Cellbit. “I’m just joking.”
