Unfortunately, Izumi had grown quite a taste for a certain composer’s blood. And really, he should've known better. The first time was excusable; he'd been starving, and Leo hadn't had a problem with it.
So yes, fine, he would give himself some grace. The second time, however? The third or the fourth? Maybe he could ignore the nick from the knife. It had been bad, and Izumi’s spit could be an anesthetic.
The split lip though? A paper cut? Leniency was one hell of a gateway drug.

Ah, but the moon could never feel how Izumi’s skin felt, could it? It could touch Izumi all at once, but it wouldn't ever be able to truly appreciate Izumi like Leo could. Couldn't feel the softness of his skin or the way he shivered under Leo’s fingers. All it could do was gaze yearnfully at his Izumi while Leo memorized everything about him.

Summary
This is exactly why he can’t share this. Not with Leo, not now. Not ever, probably. It’s better this way, if he rids the world of this foolish, hopeful thought, that he could stop making Leo look like that. That there’s a world where he doesn’t hurt Leo. No, it’s better if he buries this song away in his heart, for no one else to hear.
Or: It turns out writing a confession is easy. Giving it to the other person is much, much harder.
