Summary
“There’s no need to help. Everything is fine,” Ilya tries to reassure him and wraps his arms around Shane’s waist, pulling him closer. “Come here. Give me a kiss.”
Give me a kiss.
The words echo loudly inside his head.
It’s not how he used to say it.
Back when words didn’t come so easily and back when he was too scared to ask for what he wanted, everything was simpler and smaller.
OR: As Ilya's English gets better, his Russian gets a little rusty. So, he has a crisis about it.

Summary
“It needs to be airtight,” said Shane, folding his laptop and laying it on the bedside table. “It can’t be—we can’t just put out a statement, ‘Oh, we’re friends now.’ We need to be seen together. In public. Becoming friends.” He took off his glasses, set them on the laptop.
“Yes, I know,” said Ilya. “We decided. I will approach you.”
(Set at some point post-Season 1. Shane and Ilya need to establish the start of their "friendship" in the public eye. Naturally, this becomes seeing how hard they can covertly flirt with each other. Naturally, that becomes sexual roleplaying as a version of themselves that didn't have an almost decade-long situationship.)

Summary
Shane really isn't looking for a relationship, which is why having Ilya around is nice. No strings attached, only great sex. It's a win all around.
The only problem is that Ilya is way, way too nice to Shane's stupid cat.

Summary
“You look terrible,” Shane says bluntly when he greets Ilya at the stairwell. “Are you hurting?”
Ilya shrugs. He is hurting, actually. The adrenaline from the win wore off somewhere between his texts with Shane and the medic’s second consult. His face feels swollen and it hurts to speak when he says, “I am not wilting daisy, Hollander. I can handle getting hit at hockey game.”
“Well, I’m glad you’re okay.”
A strange pang hits Ilya’s chest then, unassuming and small. Ilya chooses to think nothing of it.

Summary
“I can bring her in, yes. As many times as necessary. I am very responsible.”
Shane gives him an odd look and double-checks his chart. “I will hold you to that, Mr Rozanov. It’s a commitment. She’ll be a handful.”
Ilya doesn’t flinch. “I have hands.”

Shane thinks one of his clients is just very committed, and slightly hypochondriac, about the care of his dog. Ilya is running out of excuses to see the hot vet.Series
