Summary
It was a confusing feeling. The moment in between realms she had been given the opportunity to see. The brief pause in time, as though everything had stopped, yet never stopped moving. She could feel the colors washing over her skin, draining and replacing her own, flooding her mind with a feeling all too bright to see, but all too dark to understand.
It was a feeling one could never truly put into words no matter how hard they tried, the feeling of everything and nothing at all. It was a feeling she had missed her first time around, too preoccupied chasing Owlbert to truly think or feel it. Yet she had missed it so, so much.

Summary
Gem is caught off guard when Grian visits her very early one morning, with a simple, but odd request- "Can I brush your hair?" She has no reason to say no, so she lets him. The interaction becomes even odder when she remembers that Grian famously hates being touched, or touching others, yet here he is, brushing and braiding her hair.
She brushes the interaction off as an anomaly, but then he comes back. Again, and again, and again.
She can't help but ask...
Why???

It’s better not to risk their friendship—better to have some of Grace than none at all.
That’s Freddie’s plan, anyway. But the one factor she doesn’t account for is...well, Grace.
