Summary
After Nightwing arrests the Red Hood and gets him shipped off to Belle Reve's solitary confinement, Jason's life goes from bad to worse.
I mean, he should have figured that Amanda Waller would jump at the chance to draft a bat into her elusive TaskForce X project.What Jason didn't expect, was to actually start liking these crazy criminals... And it's rather alarming how easily the 'suicide squad' starts to act more like a family than the bats do.
Or- Jason joins the Suicide Squad, reluctantly makes friends, convinces Harley Quinn that the Joker's a freak, and actually gets to kill the bad guys for once.
But this time, Batman can't stop him...

Summary
"I need... I need you to clear... clear the cave. Get a temp... holding cell ready." Jason ground out, voice strained. To Batman, he might have even sounded injured. At the very least, the bat could easily ascertain that something was very very wrong.
"Affirmative." Bruce was clearly frowning. "Do we need to have the medical facilities waiting?"
"No!" Jason barked, losing it for just a moment. "No." He repeated. "Bruce... The cell's for me..."
Jason Todd was finally doing okay. Until the league finds a way to reignite his pit insanity. In a last ditch effort to avoid killing anybody he's come to care about, Jason resorts to locking himself up in one of the holding cells of the batcave while the family works towards a solution.
Of course Pit insanity, Claustrophobia related panic attacks, and cells aren't a great combo.
And it doesn't help that the people he hates (?) Won't leave him alone while he's trapped in there.
He never figured a mute assassin by the name of Cass would be his saving grace.

"Okay, just... hang on a sec." Stephanie lifted her hands, palms out. "So what you're telling me, is that Jason Todd, a kid who's been in the grave for like... Two years, has miraculously risen from the dead, and rather than reuniting with his family, assumed a fake identity so he could attend highschool? Like the worst place on planet?"

Tim Drake hates highschool. But when Jason Todd, the dead robin, suddenly appears to be back in highschool -attending quite a few of Tim's classes- under a fake name... Well Tim finds highschool a little more interesting.
Stephanie thinks it's all weird. But Tim won't leave well enough alone.
And Jason wants nothing to do with the replacement. Because he has obligations presently. Namely keeping Talia and Damian safe from the league of Assassins. But one day? When he's free? He swears he'll get his revenge.
But it really isn't helping that the runt of a replacement won't leave him alone. Or that he and his friend are growing on Jason like a parasite.

Chapter 5: Damian and Jason (Misconceptions)
After another attempt on Tim's life, Damian finally gets smacked down. Because Jason's tired of the superiority complex...and Damian's hilariously stupid notion that adopted siblings aren't entitled to anything.
So he sets the kid straight.
Because A: if they all were left to follow their 'bloodlines' they'd be screwed. (Dick a Talon? Jason a low street thug? Tim a destitute unloved orphan?) Damian probably hadn't considered that.
And B: Damian is not entitled to be Robin.
Jason informs him of such. Without the Bruce and Dick patented 'sugar coating'

Jason finds that reintegrating into the batfamily isn't always the easiest thing to do, or the most painless. But he finds that through trial and error his bond grows with his brothers, and that maybe... just maybe all the chaos is worth it.

The boots of the courier had long since departed from Mojave soil, their imprints left in the hearts and minds of those freed from tyranny. And his gun, scars upon those who wrought terror.
His own scars littered his body from the ordeals survived out west, a silent reminder of a past now forsaken.
That didn't mean there weren't those who had earned a special nook in his heart, revered, loved, remembered, cherished. But his time in the Mojave had drawn to a close. And though goodbyes were hard, he'd said them, holstered a bag, and let the dusty winds envelop him at the beginning of his trek out east.
The wounds were too painful to stay.
He'd changed his face, his name, his mannerisms. Even the scar from getting shot in the head had been surgically altered, courtesy of a face changer in Diamond City.
He was free of the title: Courier Six.He was Deacon now.
And no one knew of his feats out West. until Boone and Gannon appear in Diamond City. Deacon's past gets blown open like a rusty vault for all to see.
And if that wasn't bad enough? The not-so-dead legion has bounty hunters on his tail.
They wanted Blood.Courier Blood.

Summary
Dick Grayson threw Jason in Arkham months ago, and promptly failed to check up on him.
Had he bothered, Dick would have found that Jason being five doors down from the Joker was the very least of the second Robin's problems.But after a fight with a powerful telepath goes wrong, Dick finds his mind displaced from his own body and crammed into Jason's.
And neither are happy about it.
Because the Arkham cell was tiny, but Jason's headspace was even smaller; and Dick gets to witness firsthand not only Jason's nightmares, trauma, and treatment, but just how hopeless things are from the inside of his brother's cell.

"I wasn't!" Jason replied, anger bubbling up, a tiny slur in his words. He was still sober enough to think, but one more beer would have handled that. "Because of me, hundreds are gone! I failed, Dick!"
"So did I." Dick shot back angrily. "But I'm not out getting wasted!"

Summary
Being captured by slavers and chained to Nick Valentine was not Danse's idea of ideal. It was fate laughing at him yet again. As if being kicked out of the Brotherhood wasn't bad enough. Now Danse was in a chain gang of captured settlers, moving west towards Arkansas... and his marching buddy? None other than the synth he'd spent a good chunk of time antagonizing.
There's a long tip ahead of them... and -though neither are keen on it- the perfect time for a stuck up ex-paladin and an old synth detective to work out a few differences...
And maybe start a rebellion while they're at it.

Post S9: Garmadon stumbles across a severely injured green ninja after the brat is downed by some low level villain. And while it's tempting to leave him to die... he couldn't just leave his son- er nemesis to bleed out in a random alley, right? Now with an injured Lloyd chained up in his hideout, the dark Lord finally has to confront his internal turmoil between good and evil, while dealing with his less than happy captive.

Summary
Bruce has been stripped of the mantel for being abusive towards Jay when the Red Hood first arrived in Gotham; and the rest of the family valiantly fights to keep the city safe.
That means Bruce has the time to work on healing the wounds tearing his family apart. However, healing both gets easier and harder when a bounty is placed on the entire Batclan; and Jason is badly wounded. The family finds themselves hunkering under one roof for their own protection.
With cunning enemies closing in, and Jay too injured to fight, the family rallies together. They're about to learn a whole lot about healing.

Summary
Jason had a telling scar on his neck, thanks to Bruce. He'd gone temporarily mute, right after being blown up yet again. While, yes, he'd recovered his voice, the scar remained a prominent piece of his throat... and it was only a matter of time before people started noticing.
These are the five times that members of the family and the justice league notice the scar on Jason's neck and (Finally) confront Bruce about it, and a bonus scene where Bruce sits down to talk with Jason about it.
(Because I think Bruce needed some sort of smack down for throwing a batarang at his son's neck.)
