Summary
When Fives is killed, his essence refuses to become one with the force, instead, searching out the easiest sentient being to attach itself to. After years working beneath Palpatine, Fox has had his mental shields completely eroded and his defences completely shattered, making him the perfect person for Fives' essence to transfer into. The two of them must figure out how all this strange 'jedi stuff' works and how they can both coexist long enough to save their brothers and if they're lucky, perhaps the rest of the galaxy too.

In a universe much like the one you are familiar with, souls are able to manifest into a physical form outside of the body, taking on the forms of animals and walking beside their counterparts. We call these creatures daemons, a representation of each person's truest form.
A compilation of short stories based in a Star Wars Daemon AU (based on concepts from His Dark Materials). Knowledge of the His Dark Materials universe is not required to read - all key concepts borrowed from the universe will be explained. A continuation of my earlier fic, Individuality.

Summary
A collection of stories involving various Clones and their pet Tookas (and occasionally other animals). It's not easy keeping pets when there are regulations that specifically state that clones are not allowed to own animals, but with a little help they're more than eager to try anyway. There will be a main focus generally on the Coruscant Guard, but other clones will also be largely included.
There will be an OC included and possibly some potential shipping content later on, but most shipping will largely be background, this fic is supposed to be about the Clones after all. The chapters will generally include notes about their content before each new chapter.

the name for this series comes from the term "the hedgehog's dilemma" (sometimes porcupine is used instead) that is a metaphor about the difficulties of human intimacy. meaning, a hedgehog (or in this case, a fox!) may desperately want to be close / have the intention of goodwill, but they will inevitably harm others due to their own nature. it is a self-imposed exile where an individual cannot see an outcome that does not result in mutual harm, so they refrain from gaining any close relationships at all.
that is to say, it's commander fox angst lol. enjoy!!
