Summary
It maybe took a little too long for Phil to really understand what was going on with Missa.
Sure, the fact that his hands were hot enough that Phil worried about the idea of him being feverish cropped up, but in the moment he'd been more concerned about getting Missa away from his little entourage. He'd been watching the other nearly the entire time, his concern only mounting at what he saw- trapped on all sides by betas and alphas, even suppressed, not even touching his food until prompted. It all felt far far worse than Phil'd been hoping, but truthfully was about on parr with what he'd expected.
Still, he'd managed to excuse himself for the night, avoiding the ball following the feast entirely as he guided Missa out of the room. The only thing left, in his mind then, had been to finish escorting him to the guest room Phil had made up for him, and then explain.
But then Missa stumbled halfway down the hall, having been stoically silent up until that point, and it was then that Philza suddenly realized the situation.
