Summary
So now they were heading to see Roz. Bood couldn’t lie and say he hadn’t pulled the A card for this hospital trip mostly to get to come and see Roz. No, not just Roz. Roz and his boyfriend. Roz and the honest-to-god motherfucking boyfriend that none of them had known that he’d had. Roz and the boyfriend he all but definitely moved to Ottawa for. Bood was over the fucking moon. There was no way in hell Rozanov was ever missing another barbecue.
A short sequel of sorts to 'Crashing' in which Bood and Dykstra make a trip to the hospital the day after Shane drives down to be with Ilya after the plane crash. Revelations, tenderness, and humour ensue.

"Hayden may be a great dad and a good husband, but he let his distaste for a man that made him feel shit at hockey turn him into a bad friend. Hayden could see what he needed to do - he just had to think to himself what advice he would give his kids if they were in his shoes. Showing up for your friend and doing right is a thing of schoolyards and playgrounds, but this had more stakes than childish fights over balls and words. This choice could have a real cost, not just for him but for Jackie and the kids.
Some of his teammates were starting to head towards the showers and still none of them noticed Hayden had yet to move. Hayden decided the rubber on the floor was not going to magically present him another answer. Now was the time, and he needed to choose before the team began to file out and time would have made his choice for him.
