“I take it that bard wasn't your first.” He saw them flinch. Their knuckles turned white where they gripped the fabric of their pants.
Their silence was the only answer he needed. The guilt weighed heavily on them, anyone could see it. He couldn't believe the others actually believed them when they said they didn't do it. And, oh, was that corpse brutalized. Far beyond what was necessary for her death. No, they – whatever part of them it was – enjoyed it.
They were quite the puzzle, for someone who cared about solving that sort of thing. All the parts of them seemed to clash, mixed together into a slurry of a mind that couldn't decide what it wanted to be. The naive murderer, the mad idealist – all of it got lost to the chaos in their head.
It was all the easier to control a person that didn't know who they were.

Lae’zel believed that Wyll’s time and energy would be better spent on other things besides leaping and spinning about erratically like a planetoid knocked from orbit. And yet, she found the complaint wither on her tongue, the memory of his dance holding her imagination captive, almost spellbound— as if he had charmed Lae’zel using the infernal magic of his devilish patron, though she knew he never would.
The words that tumbled out of her mouth instead, unguarded, and full of genuine curiosity, surprised her as well as Wyll: “Teach me.”

Summary
Viktor doesn't know what to expect when Jayce's fangs sink into his skin, whether the bite will be excruciating or midly unpleasant. He anticipates discomfort, barely tolerable and unavoidable, a prelude to the relief he hopes for. Perhaps a momentary sting, if he's lucky.
What he doesn't expect, however, is the immediate euphoria.
It rushes through his system like a strike of lightning, sending every single one of his nerves alight with a pleasure so intense it makes his vision white out and his thighs squeeze together, a breathless cry leaving his lips that he doesn’t even recognize as his own.
Jayce pulls back at once, breathing labored and shoulders heaving. "Did you just...?"
Trembling and dazed, Viktor doesn't bother to respond, the proof evident in the soaked fabric below him and the shaking of his legs, because yes, he had.
Due to the aphrodisiacal properties of alpha venom, Jayce offers to bite Viktor as a form of pain relief after a particularly bad flare up. The reaction is...unexpected, to say the least.

He doesn’t know how to feel about it sometimes, watching Viktor, watching himself love Viktor.
The way Viktor holds his pens, the callouses on his fingers; the snag of his crooked tooth when he smiles; the soft way he hums to himself as he works, stopping when he finds something curious; the sharp red marks left by his googles, like someone is annotating Viktor, marking everything he loves. The warm flicker of his eyes when Jayce walks in, that loving moment followed by disinterest, as if he isn’t who Viktor expected him to be.
And the moment before the flicker fades, when Viktor is exactly who Jayce expected him to be.

It’s the dullness in the man’s yellow eyes, and his bloody fingernails, and the white marks trailing up and down his arms. More than anything, perhaps, it’s his unnatural stillness. He looks nothing like the picture tucked in his file. He looks nothing like a person at all.
“Jayce Talis?” he asks finally.
Something twitches in the man’s jaw.
