A vivid flash of pink in his periphery derails his entire sentence. He turns to his left, following the pop of color.
A young man dressed in soft pink scrubs emerges from the corner, just barely dodging a nurse pushing a loaded cart into the spot he came from.
“Lost pup?” Dana whispers conspiratorially at Robby.
“Looks like it. Wonder what he’s doing down here.”

“Dr. Robby, I— I see your energy’s back.”
The friendly smile he was trying to offer was wiped from his face the moment he looked at his attending. Robby was staring at him as if seeing Dennis for the first time in his life. It wasn’t the fleeting, amused look with which his eyes had rested on the young man earlier during the day, but something fixed, almost voracious.

Summary
Dennis knows he's not the best when it comes to self-care. Or, he wasn't for a long time. Living with Trinity has made it possible to care for himself again, but sometimes he forgets that he's not alone. That he can ask for help and he doesn't need to work himself into an early grave.
Or, Dennis has trouble asking for help and is going to die on his hill. Until he realizes he shouldn't.
5+1 things, in which Dennis is sick/injured/etc, and everyone else made it their problem. And the one time Dennis came to them because he was down so bad, but they were happy he finally trusted them before he bit the dust.
