Summary
Arthur caught his sorcerer’s eye again. “If Emrys did have a simple, human identity, you wouldn’t have any suspicion who it could be, at all?”
“I wouldn't, I’m afraid.” Merlin shrugged one shoulder, seeming somewhat defeated. “I’ll look into it.”
Once, years ago, Arthur had been sure he could tell when Merlin was lying through his teeth. How frustrating it was to know that couldn’t be further from the truth.Or: In a fixed-it post-canon, word begins to get out about the godlike sorcerer Emrys who will aid the Once and Future King to unite all of Albion. This, of course, results in all the leaders of Albion beginning their attempts to win the elusive Emrys’ favor, in order to be chosen as his prophesied King.
Even as his Court Sorcerer, Merlin lives to antagonize Arthur and decides to inform the world -as Emrys- that he has already chosen his King, in a... less-than-conventional way.Series

Summary
“They say Emrys tamed the great dragon of Camelot and sired the white dragon of Albion-”
“Sired?” Gwaine interrupted “This Emrys fellow is going around siring dragons? How exactly is that happening? Sex with other dragons?” He asked and despite the situation, Merlin flushed. The man in question blinked, looking equally baffled by the question. From the corner of his eye, Merlin could see Arthur pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Uh…I actually don’t know.”
“But you’re Emrys,” Merlin reminded the imposter with a sigh “You don’t remember siring any dragons?”
“I said it was an off day!” The man complained, trying to cross his arms despite being upside down. Merlin took a long breath. Lancelot had already walked away, but that did nothing to hide his howling laughter.
Or
The knights keep hearing various (dramatic) rumors about the great and mighty Emrys. Everyone is such a gossip. Merlin is trying not to have a heart attack. Lancelot is loving life.

‘What is your name?’
“I’d say you already know, by now,” he jokes in the final box, settled in the bottom right of the screen. “But since I’m so nice, I’ll remind you again.” He beams at the camera and even gives it a wave. “Hi, I’m Tim Drake-Wayne.”
Or: Tim Drake-Wayne takes the Billie Eilish Vanity Fair interview. For the eighth year in a row. That's it, that's the fic.

Summary
Life does not wait for grief. When faced with a tragedy—with loss—so huge you have no idea how you can live through it, time seems to stop. And yet somehow, the world keeps turning, the seconds keep ticking, and grief continues to persist.
Or
Lo’ak already lost his brother. It should be enough of a consequence to lose his brother due to his own recklessness, yet somehow Lo’ak keeps losing more. Each loss cuts deeper than the last and life won’t stop long enough for him to stitch up the wounds.
A look at death, grief, and the inevitability of the world to keep turning. (i.e the ikrans dying with no mention ruined me and I have thoughts and question about what happened to Neteyam's Iran and had to channel my feelings somehow)

This is really good, great damian and tim dynamic, handles grief really well, I don't even kno how to articulate how I felt reading this. I cried though, its really really good, I love it, will definitely be thinking about the ways the characters act and how they deal with grief, its helpful
