"He needs to keep Loki talking. Keep him conscious. Until help arrives, whenever that is, whatever it looks like. Thor is coming, he has to keep himself convinced of that, or he’s going to fall apart at the seems and they’ll end this in a worse position than they started. “Um,” Bruce says, and finds himself incapable of coming up with any sort of neutral topic whatsoever. He knows so much about Loki and so little at the same time, the important things tucked away where the only person who will find them is himself. “You… What do you like to do? For fun?”
He can’t see Loki’s judgemental expression, but he feels it all the same. “Fun?”"
AKA: After nearly getting killed while trying to get supplies for the Statesmen, Loki and Bruce are stuck together, injured and half delirious.

Loki clenched his teeth until he created his own bolts of pain. "Not until I get you safely back to wherever it is you came from."
Loki had spent every waking moment since Sylvie and the Void scouring the multiverse for answers—for some way to fix what was so needlessly broken. The last thing he expected was to run into a familiar face. It turns out, the multiverse isn’t the only thing that needs fixing.

In a far-off corner of the multiverse, there exists a timeline in which Thanos never descended upon the Statesman in the days following Ragnarök—and, indeed, where he may never have existed in the first place. In this timeline, Heimdall was never killed, Loki was never killed, half of all life was never snapped from existence, and the people of Asgard had time to rebuild when they reached Midgard.
Five years later, Jane Foster still gets cancer.

Summary
Loki had always been very good at deciding what mattered.
It was a survival skill, honed young and sharpened often: choose the important thing, discard the rest, and keep moving. Pain rarely made the cut. Pain was common, expected, easily rationalised. Pain was something you endured quietly, because reacting to it only invited questions, and questions—historically—had never ended well.
So when the blade slid between his ribs, low and to the left, slipping past bone with an unpleasant intimacy, Loki noticed it only long enough to register that it would be inconvenient later.

After Asgard’s fall, Loki continues doing what he’s always done: enduring quietly, making himself useful, and refusing to slow down.
