Summary
Over the course of her life—both outside of the circus, and within it—Jax has wanted a lot of things that she thought she couldn’t have. She's lost friends over it before (in the most vague and the most terrible sort of ways), and she nearly lost everything she had with Pomni over it, too.
She’d been resigned to avoiding it all for so long because none of it was supposed to be for her. But having arrived at some new conclusions with the help of an appearance-changing adventure and an argument in the woods, she thinks that maybe it’s time to figure out the kind of life she really wants to live. She knows who she is, now, after all; surely that has to count for something?
(But this is, of course, about more than being a girl.)
(Or: A series of girls’ nights between Pomni and 'Jax'. Two where they hesitate for just a moment too long, and one where they don't.)

Summary
‘Cause it feels like I am waiting.
Juniper thinks it’s kind of ironic that, out of everyone, Zooble is the only one she hasn’t had a serious conversation with since she realised she was trans—because surely out of everyone, they’d understand it best—but, well… it’s them. And not just ‘them’ as in Zooble. ‘Them’ as in the two of them.
‘Them’ as in the months or years of bad water between them; of Juniper’s every misery projected onto everything around her, chief of all the people Zooble cares about most.
They hated her guts for a long time—even past the coming out, they probably still do, at least a little bit. But they’re stuck in this circus together whether they like it or not, and if any of them are ever going to be okay, they need to talk.
(Or: After finally coming out to the group, Juniper has a long overdue conversation.)
(Or Or: No matter how fraught the past seems, it’s not the end—and forgiving and forgetting isn’t half as important as caring about each other.)

Summary
One of the big problems with cracking your egg, Jax has found, is that once you’ve come to terms with it, the people around you don’t just get the memo via psychic link and immediately start calling you all the right words. No, apparently, you have to tell them everything yourself, which—ignoring literally every other thing that’s happened to her—is the worst thing that’s ever happened to her.
Fortunately, however, she’s got a plan. After all, what’s the use of building a reputation for making everyone solve weird (and typically time-sensitive) riddles in her wording if she can’t use it to her advantage sometimes?
Surely, this will go exactly how she’s expecting it to.
(Or: Five times ‘Jax’ drops hints about being trans, and one time she officially comes out.)

Summary
In the aftermath of an adventure with Pomni that forced Jax to think about feelings she’s been repressing for years, the rabbit is left reeling with questions about what she’s supposed to do next. She’s survived in the circus for this long, after all, because she didn’t care about anything—not the adventures, not the others, and certainly not herself. How dangerous would it be to start now? How dangerous would it be to change?
…Does she even deserve to?
(Or: life is kind of like a dance; one step forward, one step back, and a maybe a few steps sideways along the way. And sometimes it's less about how far you've come from where you started, and more about the steps you took to get there.)
(Or or: it’s not too late. Please, don’t let it be.)

Summary
When a petty joke from the suggestion box gets twisted up into an entirely new adventure by Caine, the entire cast has their genders swapped for the day: the boys are girls, the girls are boys, and Zooble is—well, Zooble with a hue shift.
For most, it’s awkward, and maybe a little bit funny in places. All they have to do is coach each other through a series of whatever Caine’s ideas on stereotypical, 'gendered activities' are, and they’ll go back to normal.
For Jax, however…
It’s perhaps a bit of an eye-opener.
(Or: In a move that surprises everyone but makes complete sense in hindsight, it turns out that Jax actually is an egg that needs to be cracked open.)
