He’s balancing on the ledges of the flooded sandbox with his arms out, trying not to fall when a familiar looking red, blue and yellow ball bounces over the ledge and lands in the water with a splash. It bobs on the surface of the water, floating around before finally settling in the middle.
“Oh no!”A whiny voice exclaims, sounds of gravel crunching beneath little light up All-Might themed velcro sneakers getting louder and louder, “My ball…”
Katsuki points at the ball, “That’s yours?”
The kid— he has dark green curly hair, sparkling eyes and cool little dots scattered across his face, concentrated on the bridge of his nose and his cheeks. Katsuki doesn’t know what they’re called and it pisses him off.

Summary
Even in a world where most of the human race has developed superpowers, where the epic fights between Heroes and Villains are a fact of daily life and not some fantastical story in a comic book- even in this world, the Ikebukuro district of Tokyo stands out. There's the Yakuza, criminal gangs, Vigilantes, serial killers, and urban legends which border on the supernatural; a demonic blade which can possess whoever wields it, and the infamous 'Black Rider' who lurks in the shadows, searching for their lost head.
Haruko Orihara is no stranger to these tales, and to this city; it's where he grew up, after all. Being the son of the two most feared men in Ikebukuro, he's seen the very most it has to offer, and has come across the most bizarre characters that dwell within it. But there is one thing he's never truly seen in this city: Heroes.
So Haru, being a teenager whose ego is almost as big as his sense of justice, asks the same question that millions of others around the world have asked: "Can I be a Hero?"
