Summary
De-aged!Merlin, Caring!Arthur, Caring!Knights, Reveal!Fic. If that doesn't say it all, Merlin is turned into a child by ex-druids bent on raising "Emrys" to be their weapon to free magic. Plot is actually just an excuse to write Merlin-as-a-kid fluff. SPOILERS for S4. Set during S4, after episode #whatever, when Elyan is ... you know. This is one I wrote way back in 2012 and have finally migrated it over to this archive in case you recognize it. That's also why it's being posted all in one go. It could certainly be described as a rather bad week, between Morgana's kidnapping, and a dragon all but levelling the lower town and making a good effort on the upper, not to mention Merlin's subsequent arrest. Arthur's new orders; to leave Merlin behind in order to meet with the not-so-last dragonlord and attempt a negotiation with his manservant's life as the lure, only feels to be the natural continuation for the entirely unwelcome developments.

Summary
Merlin for once doesn't listen to the dragon or Gaius and tells Morgana about his powers. This leads to nightly magic lessons in Morgana's chambers that have Arthur a tad jealous. Morgana soon decides to tell Arthur about her magic, and he's a bit scared, of her and for her, but he's working on it. He decides to be a good brother and learn more about magic in order to make Morgana feel accepted and understood. His terrible stumblings through the world of magic soon lead him to rumors of a man called Emrys. What happens when they finally meet each other and Emrys turns out to be unexpectedly flirty?

Summary
In Leon's opinion, it started out as a lovely morning. He had no council meetings to attend to, there had been no threat of regicide in two days. All things considered, life at the moment was peaceful.
Unfortunately for Leon it’s a Tuesday. So, when a delirious Merlin appeared out of nowhere, tumbled past like a hurricane and slapped him across the face – obviously miss judging his unannounced high five – all he could do was stand in the hallway stunned for a moment as he watched an unbothered Merlin retreat back down the corridor. And it wasn’t until an out of breath Gaius jogged past, surprisingly quickly for an old man, and shouted at him to catch Merlin, was it that he fully regained his senses.

Summary
A Merlin fix-it in which Morgana never becomes evil, Arthur finds out about Merlin’s magic, Lancelot lives, and Arthur becomes a great king with a long life with Merlin by his side.
Quick summary: Arthur is having terrible nightmares about a future Camelot with an evil Morgana. The nightmares always end in the same way: a long bloody battle ends with his death by a man he does not recognize. When Gaius gives Arthur a sleeping potion, Arthur is relieved that the dreams have stopped. However, he is then horrified to find that he is now stuck with an old sorcerer with a long white beard making making mostly annoying, but sometimes helpful comments inside his head. On top of the old sorcerer's snarky comments, Arthur must deal with evil giants, kidnappings, and the emotional turmoil of falling in love with his servant.

Summary
When the King is attacked in his tent on patrol and falls into an unending sleep everyone is worried. What they don't know is that Arthur is fine. In fact he is standing right here next to them, watching them all fret over his prone body. To stave off the boredom whilst a cure is found Arthur takes to wandering the castle and soon discovered a hidden side of Camelot he never knew about.
Or: Arthur's soul gets trapped outside his body and takes to following his servant around. He gets an interesting insight into Merlin, his servant's life and just how much Camelot needs the man.

A flash of terribly familiar golden light filled the clearing, a deafening boom sent the knights flying backwards, and then, at last, a pair of blue eyes opened once more.
And they were met in return with the sight of shimmering gold eyes.
As it dawned on everyone what exactly had just happened, Arthur’s battle-proven instincts kicked in and overtook his petrified mind once more, playing out his body’s natural response to any worst-case scenario:
Grab Merlin and run.

Alternatively: After a ritual goes disastrously wrong, Merlin's magic has been transferred to Arthur, who is still unaware that Merlin has magic in the first place. Believing himself to be a danger to everyone around him, Arthur sets out to live the rest of his life in self-imposed exile.

Summary
Morgana is escalating her attempts to see herself on Camelot's throne. When her plan to have Gwen executed or have Arthur leave Camelot with Gwen fails, she decides to cut her losses and poison Arthur. Merlin saves him, of course, and reveals his magic in the process much to Arthur's annoyance. Once the dust has settled things seem to go back to normal, but on a hunting trip gone wrong Arthur's blade gleams with a silvery magic light as he kills the last bandit attacking them. The thing is, Arthur never had magic before Merlin healed him.

“Here’s what we do,” Gwen starts.
Or: Gwen and Arthur set out to court a reluctant Merlin. Fortunately, Gwen knows exactly how Merlin wants to be loved.

He probably shouldn’t have blurted that out during the small family dinner Arthur and Uther were having. Now both men were staring at him, gobsmacked, but clearly listening.
There was no one else around. Just the three of them.
“You said you would do anything for her.”
Merlin can't forget Uther's word to Gaius and well, healing magic has never been his forte, but he has been mastering lying for years now... Maybe his level is good enough to bring about the prophesied Golden Age?

Uther finds out he has a figure of legend (well, two figures of legend) living under his roof, and he decides to take advantage of it. In the meanwhile, Arthur and Merlin have to deal with some revelations, and Morgana reconsiders her loyalties.

Summary
Merlin meets a mischievous older alternate future Arthur who doesn’t know how he ends up there. While keeping him secret from the Pendragons, Merlin tries to send him back home while ignoring his suggestions to seduce Young Arthur, which “accidentally” happens many times anyway. Arthur begins to fall for Merlin and tries to help him send the other Arthur home, even if Arthur doesn’t like or trust his future self.
