The United Nations Joint Space Program is burning through money (and people, but more importantly money) and is loosing support from the taxpayers propping up the program that seemingly only benefits the Ultra Rich.
So they send playboy pop star Evan 'Buck' Buckley into space on a space tour to whip up support for continuing the program.
Sergeant Major Tommy Kinard has been banished to the Space Clipper, the Endeavour, in the outer flung corners of the program, where he is desperately trying to combat misinformation and get medical support for six sick soldiers when he gets lumbered with looking after a popstar.
But what happens when the popstar is kidnapped by the dangerous pirate Commander, Doug Kendall? and who else has Doug kidnapped?
The Lone Star cross over is only Tarlos, with mentioned Owen Strand
